Research Interests

Design and performance evaluation of telecommunication protocols, in particular in the area of mobile computing and networking. Current research addresses the design of energy-efficient solutions for wireless networks, including energy neutral and wake up radio enabled systems; the development and evaluation of protocols for ad hoc and sensor networks, personal area networks, RFID-based systems; cognitive networks; next generation (4G/5G) mobile systems; distributed cloud computing; the design of architectures and protocols for underwater sensor networks and delay tolerant networks; the design of architectures and systems for Personal Health Management; the development of solution for content delivery networks.
